Salary £37500 – £42500 (depending on experience)
We are looking for an individual with vision and sensitivity who has a proven track record in managing an organisation in the cultural sphere.
The Leeds Library is the oldest continuous subscription library in Britain, having been founded in 1768. It has both research and lending collections housed in a listed building dating from 1808. The Trustees of the Library are keen to develop the Library as a key element in the cultural life of the City of Leeds and has ambitious plans to celebrate the Library’s 250th anniversary in 2018.
The Chief Executive will lead a dedicated and enthusiastic team in delivering a range of library services, events and activities to c.750 members and the wider public.
