Making Short Stories Pay with Dan Micklethwaite

31st May 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

A blogpost and twitter Q&A for writers who want to know more about submitting short fiction to competitions and magazines. We’ll discuss how to find the most suitable markets, the importance of patience, and other methods for boosting your chance of success. But we’ll also confront the most difficult problems – not least how to cope with being rejected (a lot). Led by Dan Micklethwaite, who writes short stories in a shed in West Yorkshire, and who has published over 50 pieces of published short fiction, including in international pro-paying markets.

This event will be part of our Festival Weekend on May 30th & 31st. This is an event taking place online in the form of a blog post and a Twitter takeover (@noShoSto) on Sunday afternoon from 2.00-3.00. You do not need a ticket to attend.
