Northern Short Story Festival happily supports the launch of PJ Whiteley’s new Leeds-set novel, the romantic comedy A Love of Two Halves. Set partly in Beeston and Elland Road, this life-affirming novel published by Unbound, takes in football loyalties and is a heartwarming read written by one of our regular volunteers.
Join author PJ (Phillip) Whiteley on November 13th at East Parade Social for the launch, where the evening’s entertainment will feature readings and a talk by Philip, a short dramatization and live music. The venue is close to where Karen and George, the book’s main protagonists, meet for their first meals out, and the short dramatization will be a restaurant scene, on a set designed by event specialists Experience Engine.
The event is free. Talks and music run until around 21.30, following by socializing and book-signing. Book tickets via Eventbrite
